IowaWatch reporter Katie Kuntz spent more than a year compiling research and interviews for a documentary investigating the effects of methamphetamine on Iowa families. What she found: children of drug-using parents often try the drug themselves, creating a cycle of abuse. Even kids that never try the drug can be affected physically and emotionally, often experiencing abuse or neglect.

Watch this space for information on a series of public for forums being planned in selected communities across Iowa to continue the discussion about the generational cycle of meth use and what can be done to break the cycle.
