As Americans pay more for gas, housing and groceries during inflation, prices for agricultural products have jumped in a year’s time as well.

The prices for wheat, coarse grains, rice and milk have all risen since this time last year, according to the season-average farm prices tracked by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Inflation has soared to decades-high levels recently. In response, the Federal Reserve raised rates following historic lows put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As American consumers feel the effects of inflation, so do farmers.
