The weekly public affairs program, Ethical Perspectives on the News, dug into how the news media function in U.S. society, particularly in this era when reporters are under heavy criticism for the work they do, and how they do it.

IowaWatch Executive Director-Editor Lyle Muller was one of three panelists on the program, along with Cristina Tilley, a University of Iowa associate professor of law and former journalist; and Frank Durham, a University of Iowa associate professor of journalism and mass communication.

The program aired on KCRG-TV9 and KCRG 9.2 on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.
