News21 State Of Emergency Episode 2: The Silent Aftermath
Carrie Gates of Platteville, Wisconsin, got a tattoo of a woman facing a tornado after a twister sucked her from her second-story apartment in 2014. The experience has altered her physically and mentally. “Half my spine is titanium. I have arthritis in my neck now ... so I can tell when the weather's changing,” Gates said. “I can feel it in my body now.”
