Meet Taylor Goggin, a University of Iowa student who has lived with a unique disease called alopecia since she was a toddler; you’ll learn about what beauty really means, and hear why professionals say children are often more resilient in the face of adversity than adults.
“I didn’t think people would ever accept having a girl who is bald. I didn’t think of myself as beautiful back then,” Goggin said.
Goggin kept her condition secret until the summer of her sophomore year when she posted a picture on Facebook without her wig and received a flood of support.
