About This Project: IowaWatch journalists Lyle Muller, Lauren Mills and Jeff Stein worked with student journalists at the Cedar Falls Tiger Hi-Line from January through most of April as a pilot project to encourage in-depth journalism at the high school level. The project was part of IowaWatch’s mission of producing collaborative investigative journalism and training student journalists to do this kind of journalism at a high level. Ordinarily, IowaWatch’s education mission is directed toward college students. This project is IowaWatch’s first with high school journalists.
