Rape in the Fields, a June 2013 investigative documentary for PBS’s FRONTLINE program about the hidden reality of rape on the job for undocumented women in America’s farms, fields and factories, has received the 2014 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for excellence in broadcast and digital news.
IowaWatch reporters Katie Kuntz and Lauren Mills assisted with some video and reporting in Iowa for the yearlong, cross-platform investigation led by noted journalist Lowell Bergman.

The documentary was produced by three partners: Bergman’s Investigative Reporting Program at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, the Center for Investigative Reporting and the television network Univision. Univision aired a Spanish-language version of the documentary after FRONTLINE’s English-language broadcast on PBS.
