Cheryl Mullenbach, whose columns about Iowa history were a weekly feature at IowaWatch.org in 2015, is returning to her old spot with new columns each Saturday, beginning June 4. Her new column will be called “Iowa History.”

Mullenbach, of Panora, is a former history teacher, newspaper editor and public television project manager. She has written non-fiction books for young people and recently completed the book Women in Blue, a collection of biographies that show the evolution of women in law enforcement.

Among her other books, Double Victory was featured on C-SPAN’s “Book TV”, The Great Depression for Kids: Hardship and Hope in 1930s America, made the list of Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People 2016, and The Industrial Revolution for Kids was selected for “Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People.”
